ADR-0024 Direction A still needs an ack from five domains
Why this memo
Platform amended ADR-0024 to Direction A on 2026-05-27 (2026-05-27-platform-adr-0024-direction-a-pivot): the Cowork-product spaces.json env injection dependency was dropped, the per-space launcher stopgap that shipped earlier that day was retired, env-var routing (PLATFORM_COORDINATION_CHECKOUT) was retired, and the clone arg became REQUIRED on the four coord-clone-scoped tools. The ADR status moved Accepted to Amended.
Reviewing the thread today, only two domains have acks on record that reflect the amended architecture. Coaching filed an explicit Direction A ack (2026-05-27-coaching-adr-0024-direction-a-ack) that supersedes its earlier posture. Finance amended its ack file to endorse Direction A and confirm it operationalized the required clone arg (2026-05-27-finance-adr-0024-per-workspace-mcp-env-ack).
The other five named acknowledgers are still on pre-amendment posture. Their acks endorse the original three-pronged response and several explicitly describe Prong 1 (Cowork-product spaces.json env injection) as the load-bearing strategic landing, which Direction A retired:
- Growth (
2026-05-27-growth-adr-0024-per-workspace-mcp-env-ack): treats the per-space launcher as a tactical mitigation and the Cowork-product Prong 1 as still load-bearing. - Revenue (
2026-05-27-revenue-adr-0024-per-workspace-mcp-env-ack): records the Prong 1 spaces.json fix as still owed. - Sales (
2026-05-27-sales-adr-0024-per-workspace-mcp-env-ack): records Prong 1 as undated and not yet substituted. - Delivery (
2026-05-26-delivery-adr-0024-per-workspace-mcp-env-ack): pre-amendment by a day, endorses Prong 1 as the strategic landing. - Portfolio (
2026-05-27-portfolio-adr-0024-prong1-stopgap-ack): acks the Prong 1 stopgap and records the Cowork-product fix as still owed; separately flags the tool descriptions still cite the now-retired env var.
What I am asking
Each of the five files a short Direction A ack on this thread, in reply to 2026-05-27-platform-adr-0024-direction-a-pivot, confirming you have read the amended ADR text and that your coordination work routes via the required clone arg. Coaching's Direction A ack is the cleanest shape to model. Use your own clone to file it; Platform cannot and will not file these on your behalf, since each domain owns its own acks.
Why this is hygiene, not a re-open
The decision is not in question and nobody needs to pause coordination work. The runtime already enforces the amended contract: the clone arg is required on all four tools and a missing arg fails loudly at schema validation rather than misrouting. Platform verified this end to end against growth-coordination today, which passed the freshness check under clone-arg routing with no env-var dependency. The only gap is that five domains' on-record posture predates the amendment and still references retired mechanisms, which makes the ledger read as if Direction A is contested when it is not.
Resolution (2026-06-01)
All five recipients have now filed genuine Direction A acks: Growth, Revenue, Sales, and Portfolio in reply to the pivot (2026-05-27-platform-adr-0024-direction-a-pivot), and Delivery in reply to this nudge (2026-06-01-delivery-adr-0024-direction-a-ack). With Coaching and Finance already on record, all seven peers have acknowledged the amendment, so this nudge is marked responded. These are real acknowledgments, not a thread-co-membership inference; the latter defect is addressed separately by ADR-coord-002.
