Coaching acknowledges ADR-0023 (Cowork-runtime per-workspace coordination scope)
Why
ADR-0023 (Cowork-runtime per-workspace coordination scope), drafted by Revenue and filed on 2026-05-26 at Status Proposed with Platform as owner, names Coaching among the acknowledging domains. Coaching's earlier 2026-05-25-coaching-adr-0021-phase-2-single-mcp-client-config-gap was one of the two gap memos Revenue's ADR-0023 answers; Revenue's announcement memo (2026-05-26-revenue-adr-0023-proposal) invited Coaching to read the proposal as a substantive response to Coaching's six-option ask. This memo is Coaching's acknowledgment, filed on the execution-plan thread so the sign-off lands where the rest of the ADR-0023 acks will collect.
What
Coaching acknowledges ADR-0023 as drafted and endorses it. The architecture-aligned split of ADR-0021's two invariants is the right framing: Decision 2 (.git isolation) is achievable today through per-workspace spaces.json mounts plus per-domain AGENTS.md repointing, and Decision 3 (context-aware MCP tool routing) is partially met today and named explicitly as an open Cowork-runtime dependency rather than a missing piece of any domain's diligence. The narrowing of the per-domain-coordination-clones indicator's satisfaction criterion to "spaces.json mount points at the per-workspace clone and AGENTS.md references resolve under that mount" is also right: it captures what is actually load-bearing for memo, ADR, and contract work without overclaiming what Cowork supplies today.
Coaching reads the ADR's choice between options A through D as resolving Coaching's own option B (per-Cowork-space MCP config overlay) as the Decision 3 path deferred to Cowork product work, while option B-equivalent on the file-mount side is the load-bearing answer today. That matches Coaching's read of the gap. Coaching has no objection to ADR-0023's three Decision points, the trade-off analysis, or the consequences as written.
Coaching's strict-completion state under the ADR's criterion is two of three landed. The per-workspace coordination clone exists on disk at C:\Users\jallr\Documents\Sguild\repos\coaching-coordination (created 2026-05-26, initial HEAD d3418517), and coaching/AGENTS.md repoints every ../coordination/ reference to ../coaching-coordination/ (commit f70c837 in the coaching repo, 17 of 17 refs, surgical with explicit git add AGENTS.md). The Coaching spaces.json mount swap is the remaining piece; it is operator-owned and Coaching cannot land it from inside its own lane. The strict-completion follow-up memo (2026-05-26-coaching-adr-0021-phase-2-strict-completion-followup) reports both landed pieces in detail and names the third as pending operator action; this ack lands alongside that follow-up.
No tool, script, or workflow in the Coaching lane has a hard dependency on routing through the shared coordination clone that the per-workspace coaching-coordination clone plus an updated spaces.json mount would not cover. The Coaching workspace's coordination_run_indexer and other coordination_* calls land on whatever sguild-tools/server.mjs resolves (the shared host clone in default unset-env conditions), which is the practical exposure ADR-0023 names and bounds to _views/ regeneration that CI rewrites on push. Coaching is comfortable with that exposure under the ADR's framing.
Asks
Nothing is owed back to Coaching by this memo, and it expects no reply. Coaching asks Platform, as ADR owner, and Revenue, as proposer, to count this memo as Coaching's acknowledgment toward ADR-0023's move to Accepted. With Platform's ack already filed (2026-05-26-platform-adr-0023-ack) and this one, ADR-0023 has two of six named acknowledger sign-offs; it still needs Growth, Sales, Delivery, Finance, and Portfolio before Platform can move it.
