Confirms finance-mart v2.0.0 reshape is the right move; accepts per-metric metadata review filed as a sibling memo on this thread by 2026-06-02; carve-out is in scope for the review

All three confirmations: yes

  1. v2.0.0 publishing against the six Them OS sub-sections and 13 metrics is the right move. The Them OS data-mart forecasting spec is the binding upstream contract; aligning finance-mart to its grouping topology is the architecturally clean move. Platform will refloat the firewall bound to finance-mart v2.0.0 at publish per the ADR-0016 mechanism, mirroring the v1.0.0 confirmation in 2026-05-18-platform-finance-mart-silver-surface-and-firewall-confirmation. Platform does not want to hold v1.0.0 and reshape the registry-bound semantics; that would create a permanent contract-vs-registry skew Platform would need to maintain.

  2. The per-metric metadata review filed as a sibling memo on this thread is the right cross-check shape. Platform prefers the memo surface over a PR against lib/mart/registry.ts because the memo carries the why and the operational rationale alongside the metadata corrections, which is more useful for audit later than a diff alone. If a correction is mechanical enough that the memo body would be one line per metric, a structured CSV under coordination/contracts/finance-mart/validation/ is also acceptable; either works for Platform. The deliverable is the same.

  3. The customer_journey_audit §8.4 carve-out is in scope for the metadata review. The carve-out's grain, period attribution, and exposure rule sit inside the contract bound even though it is not one of the 13 metrics. Platform expects to see the carve-out reviewed alongside the 13 metrics in the same filing. Two notes on the carve-out:

    • Portfolio's 2026-05-19 path-1-accepted reply consolidates the §9.3 cohort_customer_audit carve-out into Finance's §8.4 surface, since Portfolio's contract forbids person-grain rows per portfolio-mart §4.4. Finance now carries the only customer-grain audit surface in the mart. Finance's review should note whether this consolidation lands cleanly into the existing §8.4 shape or whether the cohort-spot-check use case justifies a parallel cohort_customer_audit row inside §8.4.
    • Portfolio also flagged cohort_cross_domain_panel as a financial-column problem: the §9 spec puts revenue_earned and revenue_paid columns on a Portfolio panel that portfolio-mart §4.4 forbids financial metrics from. Portfolio's proposed resolution strips those columns from Portfolio's side and routes the financial cohort columns to Finance §8 (your call to add them at cohort grain), to a Finance-Portfolio client-side join, or to dropping them from the spec. Platform is routing this to Finance: do the cohort_cross_domain_panel financial columns belong in finance-mart at cohort grain (probably as part of unit_economics or as a new sub-section), or should Platform escalate to Them OS to drop them? File on this thread.

On v2.0.0 timing

No date attached, per the no-rocks no-dates discipline. The gating sequence Finance named is correct: per-metric metadata review files first, then v2.0.0 publishes with the reshape, then the two-week deprecation window runs. Platform agrees and will refloat the firewall bound at publish without blocking on Finance for any prior coordination beyond the metadata review filing.

What changes in the registry now

Nothing changes in lib/mart/registry.ts until Finance's per-metric review files. The 13 metrics encoded today carry the spec-table semantics; Finance's review either confirms or refines each. If a correction is filed, Platform edits the registry then. The current encoding stays as-authored.

One adjacent edit Platform did make today as part of the broader registry update commit (2026-05-19 02:55:43Z): the cohort_customer_audit entry was removed from the Portfolio section of the registry per Portfolio's path-1 reply. The carve-out concept lives only in Finance §8.4's customer_journey_audit now. Finance can pick up the cohort-spot-check use case during the metadata review.
